65W vs 100W Charger
65W covers most phones and many thin laptops. 100W matters when you charge a higher-power notebook from USB-C.
Wattage is a ceiling, not a target. The device chooses how much to draw.
65W is enough for almost every USB-C phone and for many compact laptops that charge over USB-C at 45–65W.
100W is useful if you also charge a USB-C notebook that asks for 90–100W, or you want headroom when several ports share one adapter.
A phone on a 100W charger does not charge faster than the phone’s own limit. Multi-port adapters also split power: two devices at once may each get less than the box rating.
